City of Celeste Receives TxCDBG Grant

The City of Celeste received a $500,000 HUD-funded TxCDBG grant, through the Texas Department of Agriculture, for sewer improvements. If there are enough funds, the city intends to replace approximately 3,300 linear feet of 4-inch and 6-inch sewer line, including manholes, services reconnection, and any appurtenances. The sewer lines slated for replacements include a section of sewer line along 1st street, Marsalis, 7th street, Sanger Street, Alley between 1st and 2nd, alley between Hwy 69 and 6th Street, Cross-County south of Granberry Street.
